Goodbye Statstak, Hello Baseline!

From StatStak to Baseline

As we kept building for trainers, teams, and facility owners, a quiet fact kept tapping us on the shoulder. Our old name did not sound like the company we are now. Ergo, we decided to rebrand from StatStak to Baseline!

When we asked our founder, Eli Herrick, about the rebrand, he kept it short: “It just makes more sense, sorry we made everybody try to pronounce StatStak for the last 5 years.”

That line is at the center of this change. We are moving to a name that just makes sense.

Why we changed the name

StatStak came from our early days, when the product focused on collecting and organizing data. It fit that moment. Over the last year the product widened and deepened. Facilities now run scheduling, payments, memberships, registrations, waivers, athlete tracking, staff assignments, and messaging in one system.

The work shifted from stacking stats to managing an entire sports facility operation. That’s great, but is no longer reflected by StatStak (in our opinion).

Names matter in small, practical ways. Try yelling “StatStak” across a field. Now try “Baseline.” One lands clean. One needs an explanation.

Baseline brings clarity!

What will change

You will see the new name and visual system across the product and our site. The logo reads well on a phone screen and on the side of a batting cage. The color and type choices are built for motion and for real light, not only a design file. The voice you hear from us will stay direct and useful, with a small wink when the moment calls for it.

Our focus is on work that saves time and reduces chaos. Fewer steps to get through a day. Clearer settings. Faster actions. Cleaner reports. We’re finally changing our name to reflect that.

What won’t change

To clarify, we're still inherently "us." We haven't been bought out, the team will stay the same, and we're not associated with other companies (even if they have a similar name to our own). Your contracts and integrations stay the same. Your data stays where it is. If anything shifts, it will be because we found a clearer or faster way to do the job. We measure our work in hours saved, double bookings avoided, and dollars captured that used to slip between systems.

Where we’re headed

Smarter logic that handles edge cases on its own. Fewer rescues by staff. A schedule that behaves. Better reconciliation. Less guesswork for managers who would rather be on the floor than in a spreadsheet. Finally, Staff and coaching tools that make assignments and permissions obvious at a glance.

A closing note

Names do not win games. True. But, from our experience, the right name can help the team communicate a little better. We want that for you. When the software starts from a clear baseline, you can put attention back on players, programs, and growth. That is the point of this rebrand.

Thank you for sticking with us from StatStak to Baseline! If you are already a customer, you will notice the new name in your dashboard this week. If you are new, we would like to show you around. Book a demo, ask your hard questions, and see how one platform can run the day without getting in the way.
